A FEW STEPS OUTSIDE

Those who know me personally can testify that I am more at ease photographing in a studio, with all my kit readily available and plenty of backup equipment should things go wrong. However, I don’t mind being challenged, so when Andria suggested that we could step outside the studio so I could take a few pictures of her 3 daughters amongst the apple trees of Briston Orchard, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. The light was just right on that sunny day, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results… so go on, book a shoot and challenge me to get out of my comfort zone!

I had the honour of welcoming a professional belly dancer into the studio a few weeks ago. Wouldn’t it be great to have one of your favourite bands perform just for you? Well, when Liola and Lonny came in for a photo shoot with their mum and dad, it almost felt like my dream had come true. Drum kit and guitar were quickly setup and there they were, a miniature version of the White Stripes , with Lonny in the role of Jack White on guitar and Liola hitting the drum skins just as hard as Mel White.
Sadly, they didn’t take requests!
